I am a weak and worthless human being
Jan. 31st, 2004 11:20 pmSo, after hauling ass getting things done over the past few days (yay, productive me!), I was presented with the options of kicking back on the in-laws' couch to watch some TV (at which point I'd be asleep within 10 minutes), or going and doing something to try and not be asleep before 8:30 at night.
So, as I'd been resisting temptation all week to use my remaining Barnes and Noble gift cards, I figured I'd reward myself by doing some book shopping. Unfortunately, the B+N that I went to had absolutely nothing that I wanted to purchase, despite there being a dozen or so things I was looking for. After getting back home with nothing to show for my efforts (aside from a book ordered for my mother-in-law to check out and possibly purchase), I turned to the web.
Now, I'm short one of my two gift cards (peeve: apparently, I can only use one gift card with any on-line purchase, so I did have to charge some of the order), and have 7 books on order. So much for working through my to-be-read stack some before buying more....
(The order, in case anyone actually cares:
Now if you'll all excuse me, I need to VPN into work to disable an alert, and then go crash.)

Date: 2004-02-01 01:18 pm (UTC)The geometry book is further out -- due to severe lack of use, my higher math skills have atrophied to the point of near-uselessness, so I'm going to have to start with Calculus, DiffEqs, and Linear Algebra reviews just to get back in the game, as it were.
