I've never had any fears concerning you becoming a grown-up.
What kind of a hot-tub party ? Wonderful though my life is in very many respects, it has relatively few people who are both willing to join me in large bodies of hot water and in close physical proximity.
We're approximately the same age. If *I'm* grown up, *you're* grown up, god damn it!
And you know that I invite you to all the orgies that I know about... it's just going to be four of us in Chris's hottub ringing in the New Year. But if you were there, I'd cuddle up closer if our respective SO's would allow it. Sound good?
Which reminds me, I should verify Publius' phone number and ring them at midnight their time.

Like one can live to 30 and still think physical age is a determining factor here ?
And you know that I invite you to all the orgies that I know about...
Ooops, was that supposed to be reciprocal ?

Fair enough, and had a good time. Last time, it was a birthday party full of lots of friendly people I had not previously met, which was also nice but in a different way. [ Only one userpic I can use for this topic, I think. ]
But if you were there, I'd cuddle up closer if our respective SO's would allow it. Sound good?
Those two yutzes were actually born on the same day.... Acutely observant people will realize that Dr. Principles and I were born within a month or less (as I recall) of that same date as well. Same year.
I have a clear memory that sticks in my brain for the most trivial of reasons-- the old Diplomacy game server kicks the registered birthdays of all the players out for a GM running a game, and the first time it did that when all the aforementioned people were in the same game, it struck me as bizarre that so many people in the game had birthdays that close.
It's a clear enough memory that I would have bet twenty bucks on Dr. Principles being one of the four within-a-month people.
*smirk* He's got me to liven things up, ya know. Hope that your SO does the same.
I KNEW that if I sent you birthday greetings via THREE. DIFFERENT. VENUES. you'd eventually have to see one of them. Glad I never had to resort to that whole "picking up the phone" schtick.
I do want to see someone do a Hello Cthulhu outfit for Halloween one year; I think merhawk would do it very well, but I'm not sure that opinion carries much actual weight.
No, I am beyond such trivial and mundane delights.
I am, however, going to take the two Barnes and Nobles gift cards I got the other night from my in-laws, and meet up with my sister-in-law at a Barnes and Noble in Boston where she gets a 20% discount during the holidays owing to her working at the University that's affiliated with that particular branch, and indulge myself.
After I finish up Christmas shopping for the wife, that is.
Your loss, but you're missing out on some totally sweet, royalty-free singing there.
As for Boston books, do you ever go to that one place off Harvard Square, Pandemonium or whatever? Because you should, just to make sure that it's still there if I ever go back to Boston.

Very appealing, as you well know. *hug*
