So, last night the tickets to Sunny Aulde England were booked, and we're just waiting for (e-mailed) confirmation that everything's set. Then, book the hotel for the last leg of our trip (Monday - Thursday morning in London), and the British Rail tickets to Newcastle, and the wife and I are ready for our first *real* vacation since our honeymoon. In two weeks, I get to stand in as best man for my best man when he gets married in Newcastle, and while the first two or three days in England will be taken up with wedding-related stuff (and adjusting to the time change), we should at least get to spend a day or two in Edinburgh, and three days in London, before we head back.

The nice thing is that as it currently stands, this is solely pleasure, and not our usual "work is sending me somewhere to do something, so let's take a couple of days and piggyback on the work trip." The bad thing is that of my suits, they're either too small or need replacin', so I've got to get a suit fitted and ready by Friday of next week.

When booking with British Air, we got a policy number (the wife being pregnant, it's probably a good idea to get something in case something happens in the next two weeks that keeps her from being able to travel), and they took a credit card number, so we *should* be all set, and not have any mysterious "No, we show no reservations for you, sir" incidents, but I'll still be happier when we get an e-mail confirmation from BA.

Should check the card on-line today, and see if charges have hit. That will also add to my peace of mind, I think.
