lower your mtu below 1200. apparently there's something screwy specific to the wireless and usenix networks AND LJ.

don't know if it works, someone mentioned it last night.

I've had no problems posting long stuff to LJ by tunneling my http over ssh to my tinyproxy.

Ah...I have mine hard set to 0x500 (1280) by default on all my machines, and I never run into stupid pMTUd problems, encapsulation issues, or MS brainded TCP DNF flag troubles (it doesn't matter whether YOU'RE using Windows, much of the rest of the world is).

I may zip up to the terminal room at lunch, then, and try posting from a wired connection, and see if the problem goes away.

Unfortunately, corporate controls the OS, so I'm not completely free to muck with that....
