Looks like David Eddings is dead.

I didn't really read too much of his after the Malloreon series -- I got through the first couple of Sparhawk books before giving up, but I remember loving the Belgariad and reading my copies of those books near to death.

Joel Furr is never going to live that down.

I don't recall ever reading the Malloreon series; however, I think I read some high fantasy with Orcs books that he co-authored with someone else.
